Fylde Coast YMCA now offer a Health and Safety Management System designed for businesses of any size or complexity.

[su_row]
[su_column size=”1/2″]We offer the full service from initial visit, through to design, implementation and training as well as ongoing support through audits and amendments. This service ensures you have a system which is easy to manage and, more importantly, easy to implement.

How will we do this?

First Visit
We will come and conduct an organisational appraisal visit to assess the current policy, procedures and practices in your organisation. We will also carry out a health and safety inspection to determine if there are any risks or hazards which are unidentified and which may need incorporating into the current systems.

This will form the basis for the Health and Safety Management System, tailored for each individual company or organisation.

Second Visit
On this visit we will present the bespoke Health and Safety Manual incorporating your individual policies and procedures, plus any additions required, to the team who will be responsible for implementing the new system.

We will also ensure that the team responsible understand the system, its implications and how it will be used in the organisation.

The manual will include legal requirements, monitoring procedures, assessment forms and advice sheets.

We can, at this point, discuss any training required to ensure members of the team and any other staff are suitably qualified to ensure that everyone takes ownership of the system, recognises their role in minimising risk and understands the ongoing health and safety culture within the organisation.[/su_column]
[su_column size=”1/2″]Audit Visits
After the second visit, we can offer the choice of either bi-monthly, 6 monthly or an annual visit to ensure compliance with the management system and to ensure that each individual fully understands their role within the system and are competent to carry it out.

We will also include:

  • An electronic version of the manual and associated forms
  • Free advice and access to an email advice service

Updates
Any change to legislation will be communicated and the management system amended accordingly, including any training or change in practice.

CHAS Accreditation

Fylde Coast YMCA is a Contractors Health and Safety (CHAS) accredited organisation. Our successful certification is testament to our obligation and commitment to be responsible for the health and safety of our employees, our customers and our communities. As part of our commitment to achieve CHAS standard we our externally audited annually to ensure we are continually fully compliant to all health and safety legislation within the workplace and the services we offer.[/su_column]
[/su_row]

Our training venues are based in locations with free parking and provide an appropriate learning environment whilst ensuring comfort throughout the course. Our venues are at St. Annes, Fleetwood and Lakeside (Windermere).

[su_row]
[su_column size=”1/2″]Our courses are open to anyone, they offer an open learning environment where you can meet people from your industry and share business ideas or meet new people within your local wider community.

Delegates will have the benefit of the same high standards of training and delivery that our ‘Training at your place’ delegates receive.

Training at your place

For groups of 6 or more staff, why not run training in-house? All our courses can be run at a time and location of your choice and tailored to the needs of your organisation.

Why get us to come to your place?

In-house training is a cost effective option when training groups.

As the training takes place at your own place at your own premises, there is no travel, no time away from the workplace and no expenses often associated with public training courses.[/su_column]
[su_column size=”1/2″]Training is delivered at a time and place of your choice. All courses can be offered on an in-house basis. If you require something more tailored to your organisation we can develop a course to suit your specific needs. As you arrange the time and place to fit in with existing work demands, in-house training offers you a realistic and flexible training solution.

Visible Benefits for you and your team

Running a course with a large number of your staff helps improve motivation and helps with team building; also, by learning in familiar surroundings the impact across the organisation is immediate.

Company information or practices can be shared and used as real life examples to relate learning directly back to your work environment in complete confidence.[/su_column]
