The Head of Marketing & Brand is a position that sits within the organisation’s Senior Leadership Team. The post holder will therefore contribute to the overall development and strategic direction of YMCA Fylde Coast in addition to leading the marketing and brand function. This is a challenging and exciting role as we look to take forward a new strategy that increases the number of people we work with, tells the impact we have and introduces a youthful new brand across our portfolio.

  • To increase the awareness of YMCA Fylde Coast products, services and impact amongst the public, members, stakeholders, and partners.

As a Credit Control Assistant what does the role entail:

As a Credit Control Officer, you will process financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Your role will assist the operation of the finance team by collecting, checking and analysing financial information related to the accounts’ overall function focusing on credit control, and provide support for the central support team and the organisation.

Your day will consist of …

  • Developing and maintaining a good knowledge of the YMCAs processes and procedures and the accounting systems, across all subsidiary YMCAs for which YMCA Fylde Coast is responsible for credit control.
  • Developing excellent relationship with customers
  • processing financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner and proactively management and collect debts form the relevant accounts
  • Chase debts via telephone, letter and email.
  • Monitoring and assisting with pursuing any outstanding debts to ensure these are kept to a minimum, and ensure all transactions are allocated correctly.
  • Creating and maintaining documents required to set a process for credit control which will be adhered to across the organisation, including letter templates, debtor reports, and guidelines for initial credit control.
  • Assisting with allocation of income into the YMCA to ensure it is processed correctly on a daily basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Equipment Store Coordinator with exceptional record keeping and organisational skills. Some experience of general maintenance or experience in the outdoor education environment would be advantageous.

  • Managing the issue, return and maintenance of activity equipment and areas

  • Provide inspirational, safe high-quality instruction and learning to our clients in conjunction with the aims of the Centre and the objectives of the client.

Whilst providing residentials for school groups is our main focus, we also run a campsite, a public accommodation wing, and look after many of our seasonal staff who live on site throughout the year. As such, Lakeside is a varied, challenging, but rewarding place to work.

To work in the YMCA Lakeside maintenance team, providing site support both reactively and through a planned preventative maintenance system. You will be responsible for carrying out building maintenance repairs such as joinery work, plumbing, minor building works and other general repair works.

The main duties will include

  • To work to a Planned Preventative Maintenance System across the site
  • To undertake various types of maintenance work including joinery, plumbing, building works, plastering, minor decoration works, minor flooring works, minor electrical works and other general duties.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an existing VCS Families First/Intensive Youth Support partnership in Bradford working in collaboration with Local Authority Family Hubs. YMCA is looking to a dynamic, experienced individual to deliver support to children, young people and families:

The Service provides ‘hands on support’ to families who already have an identified Lead Practitioner. The Family Aide Worker (FAW) will complete targeted pieces of work that are detailed within an Early Help plan informed by a Family Assessment. Lead Practitioners you will be working alongside will come from a variety of agencies, including Schools, Health Visitors, Voluntary and Community services; Policing teams and School Nurses.

The post holder will be expected to engage with families, professionals and local voluntary services in planning for the safe care of children through home visits to meet face to face family members to discuss social care concerns for children and how these can be resolved.

The post involves direct work with families and children in their own homes and communities, this may at times include unsocial hours e.g. support with the school run or evening/bedtime routines.

This is an exciting and demanding role which will require:

  • You must have a minimum of one years’ experience working with children and their parents/carers
  • You must be able to write clear and accurate notes
  • You must evidence that you have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a diverse group of service users and professionals
  • You will be required to work on your own initiative as a substantial part of the role is based out in the community
  • Must hold a current driving licence unless a disability prevents this

Hours are flexible to suit the needs of each family with an average of 3 hours per week support for 6-12 weeks per family. Various hours available based on the number of families allocated.
