To be eligible for the Kickstart Scheme you will need to be:

  • Aged 16-24 years old when starting your Kickstart placement.
  • Unemployed and receiving Universal Credit.
  • Reffered by your Jobcentre Plus Work Coach
  • Be available to work for 25+ hours.
  • Be able to undertake a 6-month placement.

We are seeking a pro-active; customer focused Lifeguard to assist with promoting our Centre and to improve our customer’s experience. You will need a current NPLQ qualification and exceptional face-to-face communication skills. You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team with customer service skills that can deliver exceptional results.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to help provide an inspirational journey that supports and develops individuals in and across the Fylde Coast.

The main duties will include:

  • To comply with the Pool Safe Operating Procedures at all times.
  • To perform lifeguarding and attendant duties as directed by your supervisor
  • To ensure that all pool equipment is stored safely and securely when not in use.
  • To report any maintenance issues using the appropriate procedures.
  • To attend regular Lifeguard training sessions to ensure ongoing personal development and compliance of the requirements of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

To support young people in managing their Licence to stay in the East Lancashire Dispersed Housing properties so that they are able to progress into independent tenancies; ensuring the viability of the project by protecting rental income; ensuring the properties are safe and fit for purpose whilst achieving best value in terms of repairs and maintenance.

The main duties will include:

  • To conduct initial interviews and risk assessments of applicants to the project.
  • To agree actions and elements of the Risk Assessments, and Risk Management Plans with applicants and service users, including aspirations and barriers which will form the basis of their bespoke support plans.
  • To assist applicants and service users to access applicable benefits including Housing Benefit and UC.
  • To complete ‘sign ups’ at move-in ensuring an understanding of the applicants rights and responsibilities.
  • To travel to the service users to deliver support and inspect the properties (Clitheroe, Bacup, Blackburn, Accrington, Nelson & Colne)
  • To encourage service users to engage by ‘phone and face to face, to develop skills in individual areas as defined within their support plan.
