YMCA Fylde Coast is a diverse charity supporting the needs of the communities we work in…

Last year we supported at least 30,000 children, young people and adults across Fylde, Wyre, Lancaster and Cumbria. YMCA Fylde Coast manages and delivers a wide range of community services such as; 10 health and fitness centres, supported accommodation for the young and homeless, housing advice service, counselling support, young people services, National Citizen Service,  the Your Move programme as well as outdoor education for schools, youth groups and businesses

Football Coach

YMCA Garstang

Part-Time – 2 Hours per week

£10.82 per hour

We are seeking highly motivated football coach to run our progressive Junior Football Sessions,.

You will need exceptional face-to-face communication skills and an enthusiasm to work with children. You should be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team with customer service skills that can deliver exceptional results for YMCA Garstang.

The main duties will include:

  • To supervise and run children’s activity session.
  • Prepare and follow session plans to show development throughout sessions
  • Carry out all activities in a safe manner with regard to children’s learning and welfare need
  • Ensure children are signed in and out of your care by parent/guardian
  • To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all rooms, furniture and equipment
  • First Aid desirable

Garstang YMCA is looking for a As & When Required Lifeguard to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that has experience in lifeguarding and holds a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

The main duties will include:

  • To interact with the public responsibly and welcome all users of the facilities, promoting a
  • positive image of the facility by the provision of high-quality customer service.
  • To comply with the Pool Safe Operating Procedures at all times.
  • To maintain a vigilant watch of the swimming pool areas in accordance with the operating
  • procedures and take necessary action to ensure the safety of all pool users and staff.
  • To check the safety of equipment in areas of responsibility and report any damage or
  • malfunction of equipment, plant or building fabric to the Duty Manager immediately after discovery.
  • To carry out general cleaning duties of the pool and surrounding environment
  • To ensure that a consistently high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facilities at all times.

  • Interacting with the public responsibly and welcome all users of the facilities, promoting a positive image of the facility by the provision of high-quality customer service.
  • Opening and closing of the facility and assist in monitoring the security of the premises at all times.
  • Patrolling all areas of the facility and ensuring that all areas are being used in the correct manner.
  • Handling customer payments, end of evening cashing-ups and banking duties.
