You will have excellent knowledge and experience of all statutory returns including but not limited to SSP, SMP, SPP, NI and other deductions; along with RTI reporting.

The main duties will include:

– Accurate processing of 7 monthly payrolls in a timely manner

– Administer Pensions and benefit plans

– Processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations

– Producing and processing of all statutory payments

– Ensure all HMRC reporting/payments is compliant, accurate and within stated timeframes

– Work with the management team on payroll related queries

– Manage the administration and maintenance of the payroll and the records, both electronic and manual

– Prepare and review payroll reconciliations / salary analysis / departmental reports

– Provide costs and salary analysis monthly and for budgetary purposes

Senior Youth & Community Worker

We are seeking an individual to contribute to the development of young people living in deprived areas across Lancaster through the delivery of our Y-Youth Project. The project will target children and young people ages 8-19 who are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social/ criminal behaviour, with an overall aim of raising aspirations and improving life chances. As a Senior Youth & community worker you will be responsible for supporting the Y-Youth coordinator in engaging young people through detached outreach work. You will help to plan/deliver activities & 1-2-1 sessions and also help to identify hot spot areas in and around Lancaster. As well as this you will also be responsible for accurately recording data and producing weekly monitoring and evaluation forms in order to track the progress of the project.

The main duties will include:

  • To ensure effective delivery of the Y-Youth programme across The Lancaster Area.
  • Support the development of Targeted Youth Support and risk-taking behaviour services across Lancaster and wider, as appropriate.
  • The Delivery and planning of activity sessions.
  • To recruit and engage with young people and encourage participation in the Y-Youth project.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Children and young people through a range of youth work, coaching and mentoring skills.

NCS Team Leader

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government funded project designed to increase skills and employability for all 16-17 year olds. Managed by the NCS core staff team, the NCS Team Leaders are required to lead and motivate teams through this exciting summer programme. The programme, which runs for four weeks, combines physical and mental challenges and culminates in a community project. Week one and two are residential and staff will be required to stay away from home during this period (not including weekends). The third and final week are non-residential and will be based in the team’s local area (Fylde or Wyre ), where they will work within their local area to create and deliver a social action project to benefit their local community. Each young person who completes the programme will graduate. Staff will be required to commit to attending training prior to starting the programme as well as NCS graduation in September (this will be either a Saturday or Sunday).

The main duties will include:

  • To supervise your team of young people with confidence and professionalism .
  • To support your team to complete all activities on the first residential to provide pastoral care for young people away from home during the two residential.
  • To ensure all young people behave in accordance with the agree team rules.
  • To ensure the safety of all young people on your team (alongside your wave mentor)
  • Guide young people within their team, through the design and delivery of social action.
  • To support wave staff with administrative and monitoring data.
  • Work effectively with all external providers to ensure the smooth operation of the programme.

The main duties will include:

  • Be part of the delivery team which operationally delivers the Y:Skate outreach project
  • Work alongside Community Volunteers and support the process of their training and development
  • Be involved in the planning, delivery and evaluation of a range of weekly outreach positive activity sessions on the skate park that are young person led, innovative and creative and that supports their personal, social, cultural and spiritual potential
  • Work two evenings a week to meet the needs of an outreach project
  • Build excellent relationships with children and young people through youth work, coaching and mentoring
  • Support young people and raise awareness of current issues such as substance misuse and anti-social behaviour
  • Continue to support and develop the skate park young people’s committee, offering them a platform for discussion.
  • Attend weekly/monthly team meetings to discuss performance/progress to targets and spend against budget.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the project.

The club has just won the North West Junior Boxing Club of the year. We are looking for volunteers who want to assist in taking the club to the next level and become part of something special.

Volunteer Counsellor; Our volunteer counsellors support individuals within the Fylde area that require support, our counsellors work with a wide range of individuals and provide a much needed service within the area.  The YMCA is unable to accept applications from individuals who are not working towards their Diploma in Counselling from an accredited provider.
