As a Housing Support Worker what does the role entail:

Your day will consist of …

  • To complete sign-ups with service users commencing the service, including full induction and application for Housing Benefit.
  • Support service users to effectively manage their rent accounts, ensuring that housing benefit entitlement is secured.
  • Be responsible for conducting weekly accommodation checks with service users and reporting and managing repairs to the accommodation.
  • Support service users to develop understanding of their rights and responsibilities in a Tenancy and develop skills to effectively manage their accommodation.
  • Monitor and update application process to ensure that applicants and service users are informed about the service and their responsibilities for the accommodation.
  • Ensure that House Rules are maintained and in the event of serious anti-social behaviour the appropriate agencies are contacted.  
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of housing applicants, residents, former residents and properties, ensuring the information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
  • Provide a holistic approach, supporting service users to better manage and improve their situation and to develop the confidence and skills to maintain independent living.

As a Housekeeper what does the role entail:

Your day will consist of…

  • Work as part of the house team under the direction of the Head Housekeeper/Operations Services Manager
  • Carry out general cleaning duties, preparation and changeover of client accommodation
  • Clean facilities, public areas and meeting rooms as required, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout
  • Report any damage to soft furnishings, paint work etc. to Maintenance/Operations Services Manager
  • Assist in cleaning and preparation of staff accommodation
  • Report any equipment replacement requirement i.e. light bulbs etc. to Maintenance Team
  • To assist with general maintenance of public and staff areas, with regard to soft furnishings etc.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements of the job and the Centre as indicated by the Centre Policies and Procedures. Read and accept all risk assessments of equipment

This job is for you, if…

  • You have previous cleaning experience in a domestic or workplace setting.
  • You have a good standard of education to G.C.S.E level or equivalent, with grade C or above – or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
  • You have good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • You have great attention to detail and take pride in delivering a quality cleaning service.
  • You are a confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
  • You can work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.

As a Centre Supervisor what does the role entail:

Your day will consist of…

  • Maintain a high profile `shop floor` presence and a high level of interaction with staff and customers.
  • To assist on Reception as required and/or carry out duties of other members of staff as necessary, e.g. cover for breaks, holiday, sickness etc.
  • To ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, and Fylde Coast YMCA’s Health and Safety procedures.

Job  Purpose:

We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our Children, Young People and Families team to deliver whole family work and one2one work with children, young people and parents in a variety of settings including family homes, schools, youth and community settings.

Keyworkers will support families to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Good early years development
  • Getting a good education
  • Children safe from abuse and exploitation
  • Improved mental and physical health
  • Financial stability and secure housing
  • Improved family relationships

A working week of 37.5 hours, this will involve delivery after school and early evenings one to two times per week and occasional weekend work based on the needs of the caseload.
